Farm Futures is being built around a simple observation: Bitcoin mining and AI computing are both customers of the same thing — reliable electricity. Running them side by side on one energy system lets the project use power more flexibly than a single-workload site could.
One power system, two workloads
Solar, wind and other power sources feed a shared power system. An energy management layer then decides how much of that power goes to Bitcoin mining and how much goes to GPU servers for AI work. The default split is 70% to Bitcoin mining and 30% to AI computing, and it can be adjusted as conditions change.
Why hybrid
- Flexibility. When one workload is less valuable, power can shift to the other.
- Shared infrastructure. Facilities, cooling and electrical systems serve both workloads.
- Solar alignment. Daytime solar production matches well with computing demand.
What we publish
On this site you will see figures labeled as verified, targets, estimates or planned. We only label a number as verified once it is backed by real operating data. Anything else stays clearly marked so you always know what you are reading.
