Short answer: for most people in India, running a miner at home does not pay because of electricity prices, heat and import costs. A farm investment avoids that, but only choose one that shows real hashrate and power, confirms payments on the blockchain and never promises a fixed daily return.

Why home mining rarely works in India

A Bitcoin ASIC draws several kilowatts around the clock. At typical residential tariffs, the electricity bill alone usually exceeds what the machine earns, before import duties, cooling, noise and repairs. Profitable mining happens where power is cheap and steady, which is why it is done in farms.

How a farm investment works

You fund a farm that already runs machines, and you share in what the computing earns. You do not import hardware or pay a power bill. The questions move from "can I run this?" to "can I trust this operator?".

Questions to ask before you pay

QuestionGood answer
How much hashrate does the farm run?A stated figure, shown against public network data
Where does the power come from?A named source and capacity in megawatts
How are payments confirmed? On the blockchain, to the address on your own order
Are returns fixed? No: they move with the BTC price and difficulty
Is there a lock-up?Stated clearly before you pay
Who contacts you?You contact them; real teams never DM first

A full checklist is in How to check a Bitcoin mining investment.

Paying from India

Most farm investments take stablecoins such as USDT, which Indian investors usually buy on an exchange and withdraw to the address shown on their order. Copy the exact amount shown on your order (it is unique to the cent, which is how the payment is matched to you) and double-check the network (TRON, BNB Smart Chain or Ethereum), because a transfer on the wrong network can be lost.

Tax

India taxes income from virtual digital assets, and the rules have changed several times since 2022. Keep records of every deposit and payout, and check the current rules with a tax adviser before you invest.

Red flags common in Indian Telegram and WhatsApp groups

  • "2% every day, certain" or "double in 30 days"
  • an "account manager" who messages you first
  • payment to a personal UPI ID or a wallet sent in chat
  • pressure to bring friends before you can withdraw

Where Farm Futures fits

Farm Futures ran privately for about five years and opened to the public in October 2026. It runs 1,980 Antminer S19 Pro miners (about 212 PH/s, operator estimate) on about 8 MW of power, with about 18 MWp of solar on site. Plans start at $300 with a six-month principal lock and pay illustrative ranges that move with bitcoin, never guaranteed. Deposits are in USDT and confirmed on the blockchain by the site itself.

Mining income moves with the Bitcoin price and network difficulty and is never guaranteed. Capital can be lost. Read the risks before investing.
